Candidates File For Federal, State Offices In May 21st Primary Election

The candidate filing period for the Idaho May 21, 2024 primary election closed on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The May primary election will include races for United States Representative, state legislators, judicial offices, and county races filed with the county clerk’s office.

“Let’s get ready to… VOTE!!!” said Secretary of State, Phil McGrane. “We’re excited to get the election underway.”

After filing, the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office reviews candidate applications to verify their eligibility. The candidates who have filed and met the requirements to run for office are available to view at https://idsos-voteidaho-dev.azurewebsites.net/data-and-dashboards/candidates-filed/. Partisan candidates may withdraw from the primary election through March 29, 2024.
