Early Voting Begins in Idaho for May 19 Election

(Boise, Idaho) – Early voting for the May 19, 2026 Idaho Primary Election begins today in many counties across Idaho, with additional counties set to begin early voting next week. Early voting continues through Friday, May 15, though the availability and duration may vary by county. Voters can find county-specific information at https://voteidaho.gov/idaho-primary-election.

All counties offer options to vote before Election Day, including in-person absentee voting. Any eligible resident of a county can vote at any early voting location within that county. Voters who are not yet registered to vote may register and vote at early voting by bringing an accepted form of photo ID and proof of residence.

“Our goal is to make voting as easy and accessible as possible,” said Idaho Secretary of State Phil McGrane. “With early voting, Idahoans have the flexibility to participate in a way that works with their schedule. The Primary Election is an important opportunity to help shape Idaho’s future, and I encourage everyone to make a plan to vote.”
